"Synthetic Movement "
Label:
Out Of Line
(2011)
Synthetic Movement the title of German group CHROMs new long player is quite programmatic. Thudding beats and bass-laden sequencer are combined with recognizable melodies, driven by the charismatic voice of singer Christian Marquis, resulting in highly club-compatible Future-Pop-anthems. CHROMs approach is harder and more in your face than your average Synth-Pop-outfit and provides just the right kick for people that prefer anthemic tunes with a focus on Dance music. The lads also have a golden hand for powerful songs with hit potential that do not have to shy from the comparison with some of the genres absolute classics ( rather fittingly, if unintentionally, the groups name brings to mind one of these classic club tunes.) It is rare that the fusion of Electronica, Club and Pop works as well as on Synthetic Movement an album to imbibe, dance to and get carried away with. Join the movement!
