Parzival
"Urheimat"
Label: Euphonious Records (2011)
Brand new album from Denmark’s Parzival—13 tracks of militant, theatrical
bombast! The music of Parzival is a fine mixture of old school EBM, militant and catchy industrial and dark theatrical
bombast. Highly influenced by occultism, religion, medieval mysticism and spirituality, the members of Parzival are
back again with another great album. The band about ‘Urheimat’:
”The concept of this album descends from the Arctic Home Theory mentioned in the ancient books of the Vedas and
Avesta. In these dark times of global confusion with endless ridiculing of any sanctity we turn towards our Urheimat,
our long lost but not forgotten Boreal ancestral home, whose divine dawn still flares in our icy hearts”.
The band was formed in 1992 in Copenhagen under the name Stiff Miners (they were signed to US label Cleopatra). In
1998 the band changed their name to Parzival, and with a changing line-up Parzival have released 5 albums and is now
ready with their sixth album ”Urheimat”. Furthermore, Parzival has been touring and playing festivals in different parts
of Europe, incl. two times at WGT Leipzig.
