      Henric De La Cour
      "Henric De La Cour"

Henric De La Cour was a singer of Yvonne, and also Strip Music, which is on hold whilst he busies himself with his self-titled solo album... not just this, he’s also been working with others - i.e. Bad Hands, Andreas Tilliander’s album ‘Show’, worked as DJ and was even in a musical (A Nightmare Before Christmas).
A lot of the music has its root within it after all and it feels like a silent tribute not just with that song but within all of them. ‘Sally’ is another highlight here, wistful atmosphere with the refrain that apart from its catchiness has something plaintive about it and yet at once drawing the mood up from the bottom right to the top. ‘Gothic’ has this mechanical sense to its background mostly to the keyboards that have an old fashioned gleam over them, but yet it’s a song alive with emotion. And even though the other songs introduce a kind of melancholy, which is slowly and silently sizzling under the surface, the album has an upbeat feeling anyway. The solo album as a whole has a sensitive, understated quality, pleasant and nicely clever music, all reasons and more for which it’s definitely worth to give it a listen or more according to your tastes and judgement and as for me the time with it was definitely time well spent.
