      Distain!
      "Farewell To The Past"

      Label: Echozone (2018)

      Qty:
The Bavarian synthpop-institution! Distain, which has since shrunk to a duo, returns in 2018 with their new album "Farewell To The Past". It is now the eighth in the history of the band and features eleven tracks, from which the previous singles "SynthPopBoy" and "Maid Of Freedom" have successfully paved the way.
With the album title, Alexander Braun and Manfred Thomaser provide a framework in which one can embed the presented songs and supplement them with their own individual experiences. In addition to the obvious references to the past, it is also important to discover the small, hidden or not so obvious clues.
Obvious, of course, are the separations of former bandmembers, who had to be beaten. They kept! Distain constantly on new paths, to new challenges and highlights. Over the years, this has manifested the indispensable desire not to be stylistically out of place. Moreover, this time it is quite obvious that the two protagonists have merged even more into one unit, and in the end even the first production was done on their own. The varied compositions as well as the balanced sound provide an impressive testimony to it.

1 The Cosmic Revolution (feat. Seyhan)
      2 Maid of Freedom
      3 SynthPopBoy
